Autocruise to unveil two new fixed bed layouts at the NEC show

Autocruise, the luxury motorhome manufacturer, purchased by Swift Holdings, will be launching two new models featuring the UK’s most popular fixed bed layouts at the National Boat Caravan and Outdoor show at the NEC Birmingham from the 19-24 February 2008.
This follows a successful show at the International Caravan and Motorhome Show at the NEC in October, where the new Camper Van range was launched.
The new Startrail is an addition to the award winning Mid Series range. It is the first genuine low profile Autocruise model to have a fixed bed. The layout comprises of fixed rear double bed with en-suite washroom with separated shower, parallel lounge seating, “L”-shaped kitchen and large fridge/freezer. It can sleep up to 4 people.
Built on the AL-KO low-line chassis for a better overall quality of ride, the Startrail has an overall height of 2.65m, and a sleek appearance due to the method of construction under the skin. Strong yet light aluminium jointing sections allow smoother lines with their rounded GRP mouldings. This complements the aerodynamic Peugeot boxer cab.
The stylish exterior has corner steadies as standard equipment, LED awning light, front marker lights and high level brake lights which are neat but highly visible, flush fitting framed windows and cab running boards.
With a choice of 4 soft furnishing schemes, detailed finishes inside include map/magazine pockets, upholstered arms rests, 4 scatter cushions and full pelmets.
The furniture has detailed storage areas, which include a fully equipped drinks cabinet and a number of flip up and slide out work surfaces in key areas like the kitchen. Giving plenty of light are 2 mains lights in addition to 12V reading lights.
The new Oakmont, named after another world class golf course, joins the luxury Driving range. The Oakmont is also built on an AL-KO chassis for good road handling and increased payload. The layout comprises a rear island double bed with side cabinets and wardrobes, central washroom with circular sealed shower cubicle, central kitchen and parallel lounge seating. Beneath the island double bed is a large external locker with access from both sides. The Oakmont can sleep up to 4 people.
The Oakmont has the same pedigree as the Startrail with detailed finishing touches and the additional specification of Alde radiator central heating and hot water system, Dometic cooker hood, built in microwave oven, walnut effect dash trim and a reversing camera.
